In this video, I'm going to show you how to season a stainless steel pan and compare a non-seasoned pan vs a seasoned pan and test whether seasoning a stainless steel skillet makes it more nonstick and easier to clean or if its a big waste of time. There are several different methods to seasoning a stainless steel skillet but one method makes the most sense.
Final thoughts: seasoning a stainless steel pan doesn’t make it noticeably more non stick but does help with cleanup. Also, washing the pan removes the season and you will need to re-season the pan after every wash. I don’t think seasoning stainless steel is worth the minor benefits. Focus on the fundamentals and temperature control to get the most out of cooking.
