In this video, photographer Kevin Schuster discusses his solo exhibition at K Space Contemporary, "Portraits of Women."
Kevin Schuster is an actor, dancer, musician, photographer, and winner of Best of Show in the 2020 Members Only exhibition. He has been shooting photos of various subjects for many years, but the majority of his photos are of women – dancing, swimming underwater, modeling, or in contemplative poses lost in their own thoughts. Schuster’s photos are cinematic – gorgeous, movie quality settings, unusual backgrounds, flowing garments, and of course, the exquisite female form.
Because he has been on stage since the age of six, Schuster has a particular interest in stage photography. He has photographed the Bailando Dance Festival and productions of the Corpus Christi Ballet for almost a decade, capturing magnificent leaps, spins, and entire dance groups suspended in mid-air formations.
K Space Contemporary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to presenting and promoting contemporary art located in downtown Corpus Christi, TX. K Space Contemporary is open Wednesday through Saturday 11am to 5 pm, Sundays from 12 to 4 pm, and every First Friday until 9 pm. Admission is free.
