This is how to do a Celtic Labyrinth unit AKA Byzantine Diamond. Credited on ‘Maille Artisans’ to Laura of Handmadesigns.
Rings used:
SMALL = ID: 3.20mm (1/8”) 18 SWG (AR: 2.75)
MEDIUM= ID: 4.00mm (5/32”) 18 SWG (AR: 3.40)
LARGE = ID: 7.30mm (9/32”) 18 SWG (AR: 6.20)
Rings can differ from manufacturer to manufacturer; I’ve added the AR for each of my rings so you can make your own substitutions if my sizes don’t quite work for you ◡̈
