This is an MMD animation of the operation of Yokokawa and Karuizawa Stations on the Shin-Etsu Line, a now-defunct Japanese rail line.
The two stations are 11.2 km (6.95 ml) apart and have a remarkable 553 m (1814 ft) difference in elevation. Therefore, the maximum gradient of this section to Karuizawa is 6.64% (4.22grad), which is very difficult to pass by ordinary passenger train power. Therefore, two auxiliary locomotives were added at Yokokawa Station to pass through the pass.
In this case, think of the story as one in which the name of the place "Yokai no Yama" in Touhou is replaced by the real-life Usui Pass, and the access method to Moriya Shrine, which in the original story uses a ropeway to visit the shrine, is assumed to be by train.
