Our adoption efforts are greatly supported by the Petco Foundation. It is through that partnership that we are able to house our rescued cats in Petco adoption centers around San Diego county where they will be seen by animal lovers and receive high-quality food while they're there. We would not have been able to rescue and adopt out the number of cats we have -- approaching 10,000! -- without that support.
Paul Jolly, the executive director of the Petco Foundation, has been diagnosed with ALS. This is our tribute to a man who has made an enormous difference for our organization and for countless animals around the country. We wish him the very best.
