In today's video we're showing you how to rent a Kimono in Japan! Kyoto is the number 1 place to rent Kimono & Yukata in Japan, so here is our alternative 1 day Kyoto itinerary!
Kyoto is a must-see city in Japan, being the old capital it’s full of ancient temples, shrines, and historical monuments. While in our other videos we have visited some of the more popular (and touristy sites), today we are escaping the crowds and showing you an itinerary off the beaten path.
This alternative Kyoto itinerary is perfect for a kimono experience as it avoids large crowds and needs less traveling across the city. You’ll be more likely to find a great Kyoto photo spot, as they’ll be less people in the background!
Wearing kimono / Yukata is a very popular thing to do in Japan (especially Kyoto), and is encouraged by the locals! As long as you’re respectful it’s a great way to appreciate Japanese culture, and a fun day out with friends or family.
