How To Add Stream Labels To OBS Studio

Your first step to adding a Stream Label to OBS Studio is to open OBS, head to your settings, then select "Video", and read what your base Canvas size is, make a note of that.

Now head to StreamElements.com, and log in using your Twitch account, then on the left hand side, you’ll want to click Streaming Tools, Click My Overlays, then click New Overlay. You’ll be prompted to choose a resolution.

Now if your canvas size was 1920 x 1080, select 1080, if your canvas size was 1280 x 720 change it to 720.

Once you select that, you’ll have a canvas, imagine this is your OBS window, what we put in this, will appear later inside OBS.

You’ll go down to that Plus Button, head to labels, and click the label you want to add to OBS Studio, for example, we can select “Latest Follower” and this will add the Stream Label.

Once the Stream Label is added, you’re going to click Save in the top right of StreamElements, and then copy the Overaly URL.

Now head back to OBS, click Add Source, Browser Source, name it “Recent Follower” and once it's added open its properties by double-clicking it, paste in the Browser Source URL we copied from StreamElements, and change the size of the source to the same size as your canvas on StreamElements which should also be the same as OBS, mine was 1920 by 1080.

We will hit save, and make sure the Browser source is on top of the Source list and not hidden behind any other layers, and you've now added a Stream Label to OBS Studio.

How To Upload A Graphic To StreamElements

Open StreamElements Canvas, and click that Plus Button, head to Static / Custom, and if the graphic you're adding is a Video file you’ll click video, if it is an image, you’ll click image.

Select the Image or Video, and then you’ll go to the top left, and make sure the new video layer is selected, and click Change Video or Change Image. Click upload in the top right of the pop-up, and drag your file in, it will appear on the canvas.
