Professional guitarist reacts to reaction Chainsaw Man OP Theme Music OST. Aka Kenshi Yonezu - KICK BACK（Live with Daiki Tsuneta). Reacting to and analysing what makes this song sound quite so cool. What even is this? Funky Zombie Dance Music? Body Horror? Tetsuo’s spiritual successor? I dunno man, this one broke me a bit. Must be slipping in my old age, or is it just that much of a wtf moment??!
Confusion aside, in this analysis video we look at some mysterious guitar harmonics (which I now realise I never properly got to the bottom of- apologise!), using the bass fill to double up a vocal hook, what does a megaphone do, that huge mood shift in the bridge, the weird and wonderful voice breaking scream kenshi belts out and of course a bit of a shred guitar lesson, taking one of the tasty scalar runs and breaking it down.
Had a straight reaction uploaded, but had trouble with it getting blocked- will hopefully be able to sort that out eventually.
I stand by my _Funky Zombie Dance Music_ genre, but I'm sure you guys can do a better job!
