After attending culinary school in Italy, I learned how to make authentic Italian gelato. We learned not only how to balance a gelato formula, but also how to make Italian gelato from scratch, the importance of each ingredient, and how to make a variety of flavors.
Today, I want to show you how to make a homemade gelato recipe called fior di latte. You can think of this almost like the "vanilla" version of gelato. It has a very basic flavor that highlights the taste of the milk and cream.
