Dia Mirza On Her Difficult Pregnancy & Son's Multiple Surgeries After Birth

Actor Dia Mirza, who welcomed her son Avyaan Azaad in May 2021, opened up about how difficult her pregnancy journey was and recalled her delivery time. Her son was born pre-mature and the situation was ‘life threatening’ for both mother and the child. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Dia shared that she had to undergo appendix surgery in the fifth month of her pregnancy which caused some infection in her body and led to further complications. She mentioned that her placenta was hemorrhaging and the doctor had to do an emergency C-Section else she would have gone into sepsis.
