In the constant competition to create content, YouTube is by far the number one with millions of videos uploaded every day and thousands of viewers at any one time. Using YouTube as the primary platform for hosting videos is very common among many course creators.

This article provides more information on how to create RSS URLs from your YouTube channels and playlists, and then add them to your school's live feed. If you like RSS, you probably hate hopping around the web to keep track of your favorite things. You tend to have everything in one place - your RSS reader.

But Google doesn't publish RSS feeds for channels -- or at least doesn't make them easy to find with clickable buttons. Fortunately, there are two easy fixes: If you've been living in a difficult situation, or if your birth year starts with "20", RSS is a text-based feed format that can be created by a service and an application that can use it to listen for updates on the Access platform-agnostic format.

Before you can take full advantage of RSS, you need a reader that consolidates feeds and gives you a single source to read all the feeds you subscribe to and keep track of which feeds you've read. Because RSS is an open standard with a relatively simple format, it is easy to find readers.

If you want to read on multiple devices, you need a collection with a central server. If you just add the feed to the app on your phone, you won't be able to read it anywhere else. I personally run my own instance of TT-RSS, but FreshRSS is also a pretty good application. Feedly and Flipboard are also great services if you don't want to host them yourself. Now that you have the reader, it's time to get the actual feed. YouTube itself outputs RSS feeds, but unfortunately, they are not well documented. There used to be handy download buttons, but a later UI redesign removed them. Fortunately, these URLs are not difficult to find. #youtube #rss #feed
