The now defunct "Beautiful Music" format was a popular radio staple in many cities in the USA from the 1960s-80s. The format is essentially a mix of instrumental and choral vocal covers of popular hits as well as original orchestral pieces. This tape is from WHP 97.3 FM Harrisburg, PA and the recording was found on a unlabeled reel-to-reel tape that I bought at a surplus sale. It seems to have been recorded on Sunday, February 19, 1978 judging from the events in the news report.
