Dr Spiro is an Interventional Cardiologist with a particular interest in coronary physiology, complex coronary intervention and structural heart disease.
Having graduated from University College London in 2000, Dr Spiro completed his cardiology training in the UK. This involved working within several national leading cardiac centres during which time he completed his training in coronary and structural intervention as well as adult congenital heart disease.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr Spiro completed a period of dedicated research at Imperial College London (National Heart & Lung Institute) and was awarded with his research MD in 2010. His research findings have been presented at many international scientific meetings as well as being published in several high impact factor journals. Dr Spiro continues to maintain a keen interest in research, education and teaching and holds an honorary senior clinical lecturer position at the University of Western Australia.
