I'd like to thank each of you who gave to the TLC last year in support of our transitional homeless program closing. With your help and the HUD funding that finally came we were able to remain open. This gentleman and his son did eventually move into their own home in 2013 and were not displaced before hand.
Taking a new approach to help homelessness in our community our agency will be assisting homeless families with a program designed to get them into permanent housing faster and more cost efficient. This program is called Permanent Supportive Housing. Therefore, the TLC will close its doors on April 30, 2014. We plan to have a farewell celebration that will be open to the public April 17, 2014.
