While we personaly prefer coffee without any sugar, we thought about giving this one a try!

We used coarse brown sugar, but a finer sugar might have been a better option. That being said, the results will probably be the same.
.
The espresso was super sweet and creamy. The only advantage of using this method instead of adding sugar to your espresso shot is the creamy textrue that you will get. The espresso feels richer and thicker in body, while the taste remains the same as normal sweetend espresso!

We personaly do not use sugar with our coffee based drinks, but it is nice to give it a try once in a while!

Kindly note:

While almost all the sugar is melt and pushed through the coffee puck under the 9 bar of pressure, there might be a minimum amount of sugary residue left in the machine.
Accordingly, we advise you to use 2g of coffee cleaning powder and do a cycle of backflush 👏
