CIHF-TV-2 - Global New Brunswick Evening News open & full newscast (June 13, 2011)
On June 13, 2011, Global Martimes began broadcasting separate 30 minute editions of the 6 PM Evening News and the 11 PM News Final for New Brunswick viewers.
News content was gathered by editorial and reporting staff from newsrooms based in Saint John, Moncton, and Fredericton. The newscast was presented out of Global's Halifax studios, with a control room staff based out of Global Edmonton tying together all studio cameras, microphones, edited news footage, and graphics (including the virtual set). The newscast was then transmitted to viewers receiving Global New Brunswick (CIHF-TV-2) via over-the-air, on cable systems in the province, or on satellite.
This was also Ron Kronstein's first day on-air presenting both the New Brunswick and Halifax newscasts.
