Why are more people shifting car trips to other modes? (e-bike impact analysis 🤓)

In this episode, I speak with Bryn Grunwald about her experience riding her bike and the bus all around town in Boulder, Colorado, as a child (a free-range kid, if you will,) especially leveraging the extensive off-street network of multi-use pathways. We also discuss how now, as an adult, an e-bike has helped her live a car-lite lifestyle. We then discuss her role on the RMI's Carbon Free Transport Team and their new tools and calculators for measuring the benefits and impacts of shifting typical car trips to bikes and e-bikes across several environmental and economic metrics. Finally, we shift gears to talk about how cities can facilitate these benefits by building out an "all ages and abilities" active mobility network that is integrated with a convenient and comfortable transit network.
