Antenna Gain EXPLAINED

Most antenna manufacturers report only the antenna’s peak gain on datasheets.
But an antenna with a bad radiation pattern might see that peak gain in a direction totally useless to the user (e.g. towards the sky).
For that reason, it’s of massive benefit to understand a little about both antenna gain and radiation patterns.
