Does a Lighter Crank Pulley Do Anything?
I'm going to show how to install a Perrin Lightweight Crank Pulley on my Toyota 86 (FRS) and see if there's any real difference. I'm fully aware that it is not possible to butt-dyno a light crank pulley, but it is possible to measure rev speed between shifts (when gears aren't engaged). The performance gain I'm looking for is quicker blipping for downshifting, so we'll find out if the Perrin Crank Pulley can meet that goal.
