2022-23 HSIs Lists Publication: What is included in the analysis?

Because the definition of a Hispanic-Serving Institution is based on enrollment of Latino students, the number of HSIs changes every year. Excelencia in Education provides annually updated analysis on HSIs to equip decision makers to consider where they invest limited resources and recruit talent for the workforce.
Excelencia's latest HSI analysis includes lists of HSIs, Emerging HSIs (eHSIs), and HSIs with graduate programs (gHSIs), as well as an interactive dashboard and a StoryMap that shows the evolution of HSIs over the last 29 years. In Excelencia's 20th year accelerating Latino student success, we are also releasing a comprehensive HSI Factbook. This publication includes information on how Latino students enroll in and perform at HSIs, and continues Excelencia's work to inform and compel action to ensure Latino, and all, students are served well.
