Learn 3 different methods for joining in the round for a circular project using a circular needle. And as a bonus, I've included my best tip for joining in the round for the Magic Loop method.
0:29 - Method 1: Basic cast on and join.
1:45 - Method 2: Cast on and decrease at the end of round.
3:15 - Method 3: Cast on and decrease at the beginning of round.
4:42 - Bonus: join in the round for Magic Loop without that annoying long joining thread.
*To cast on a circular sample like I've worked in the purple yarn to test each method:*
Using sport weight yarn and a US 5 / 3.75 mm needles in a 12" / 30 cm length, cast on 80 stitches (or 81 stitches for Methods 2 and 3).
*To cast on a Magic Loop sample like I've worked in the blue yarn to test my method:*
Using fingering weight yarn and a US 1.5 / 2.5 mm needles in a 32" / 80 cm length, cast on 46 stitches and divide evenly (23 sts per needle).
