I have been taking lessons with Shintaro for the past few months. I usually do one hour lessons, twice a week. I really enjoy our lessons for multiple reasons. He is very understanding and patient, which are both good qualities in a tutor. He focuses on speaking Japanese rather than just reading and writing the language. He taught me multiple things. A notable skill I have learned from him is how to introduce myself in Japanese and how to have introductory conversations with other Japanese speakers. He uses lesson plans and predetermined topics to help guide lessons. We usually divide our lessons into a few parts.
My Japanese skill level has improved by taking his lessons and would highly recommend that you do as well.

Shintaro's JPN Lab is a great way to learn Japanese. He is a good teacher, and tailors his teaching to your level of skill.
