General Motors internal political presentation "Story of Progress", from 1980.

Features GM's president E.M. "Pete" Estes, F.W. Bowditch, and J. E. Colan urging GM employees to call their representatives and tell them the government needs to get out of the regulating business. Government interference requiring fuel economy improvements, emissions controls, and safety / passive restraints is just too expensive! GM will do just fine on their own.

Check out the little snippets of GM's Wankel rotary engine (13:27), the electric Chevette and Vandura (14:00), first generation catalytic converters (15:50), and the first automotive airbag restraints (called ACRS - air cushion restraint system, 18:18 )

This disk had major glitches around 18:06. I had to physically shake my player while holding the play button to get it to work at all. Here's what the glitches look like if the player is untouched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgF9BalTHSY
