Cutscenes from a Japanese-exclusive game for the PlayStation 2 simply titled "The Transformers" (nicknamed "Transformers Tatakai" or "Transformers: The Call of the Future"), which has all dialogue and text in English, indicating that it was going to see a worldwide release, but plans for it were scrapped due to negative reception of the game in Japan.
Optimus Prime, along with Wheeljack and Jazz, sets out to investigate a mysterious gem called "the Zel Quartz" and rives out Decepticons along the way. Soon, he meets Rodimus Prime, the Autobot leader from the future, and his troops, and both team up to help stop the potential threat of the Zel Quartz after hearing the dangers behind it. Autobots from the present and future join the Primes in their mission, with the two leaders saving the planet at the end through the power of both of their Matrix(es) of Leadership. After driving the Decepticons out, the Autobots have a few more friendly conversations and bid each other farewell before the future Autobots are sent back to their own era. Also, Starscream never wins in the end...
