The fuel management system must:
Allow the engine to start and run in the coldest and hottest places;
Allow the engine to run smoothly under all conditions;
And keep exhaust emissions in check.

The vehicle's fuel management system uses a multitude of sensors to gather information such as temperature, pressure, air flow, and other parameters. This information is processed by engine control module. The engine control module can then operate the fuel injectors and various other actuators that control the engine operation.

Key components of the fuel management system include: Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Fuel Injectors, Airflow Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Oxygen Sensors, Throttle Body and Engine Control Module.

The fuel management system's various components may malfunction, this can cause a no-start condition, or you could experience a loss of power, fuel economy or other drivability concern. This can also be accompanied by an illuminated or flashing check engine light.

Ignoring a flashing check engine light can damage the catalytic converter and exhaust system. Visit your local ACDelco service center for expert service and quality parts.
