Alessandra writes about the title: "La57 is part of a suite I dedicated to metals (Metal's Life) in the album "The Golden Fly" trying to put their characteristics into music. La57 is the abbreviation of lanthanum. It is light, metallic, silvery-white, malleable and ductile element and it is also very soft.
Paul speaking: Alessandra Celletti is one of our favourite contemporary piano composers. My wife Khwan and I discovered her music 15 years ago on MySpace (it was the main networking site back then). We became friends with Alessandra, she kindly sent us her sheet music and a CD "Golden Fly" which remains one of our top favourite CDs to this day. Khwan painted Alessandra a wolf, which still hangs in her piano room in Italy.
Alessandra has been following our 8-year-old daughter Emilie's videos and suggested she might like to play LA57. I played it for Emilie, she loved it -- said it reminded her of an enchanted garden and she began practicing it earlier this week. Emilie said the music gave her an idea for a new painting, which she's making in the garden under the shade of our bananas trees here in Thailand as I type this description. We are recording Emilie's painting "Enchanted Garden" on video, LA57 will be her soundtrack.

Mia moglie Khwan ed io abbiamo scoperto la sua musica 15 anni fa su MySpace, allora era il principale sito di networking. Siamo diventati amici di Alessandra, ci ha gentilmente inviato i suoi spartiti e un CD "Golden Fly" che rimane ancora oggi uno dei nostri migliori CD di pianoforte preferiti. Khwan ha dipinto Alessandra un mondo che è appeso nella sua stanza del pianoforte in Italia. Alessandra ha seguito il video di nostra figlia Emilie di 8 anni e le ha suggerito di interpretare LA57. L'ho fatto ascoltare a Emilie e le è piaciuto subito. Emilie ha detto che la musica le ricordava un giardino incantato e ha iniziato a esercitarsi all'inizio di questa settimana.
