Sacroiliac joint pain is a common problem often leading to impaired mobility and quality of life. The speaker in this video is Dr Amod Manocha, a UK trained and certified Pain Consultant with years of experience in managing chronic pain patients. He is currently working at the International Pain Centre (https://internationalpaincentre.com) , Delhi as the Head of Pain Management Services and has worked previously as a chronic pain Consultant in many renowned Hospitals in London.

Sacroiliac joint pain commonly affects patients with ankylosing spondylitis, these who have had previous spinal surgery or have leg length discrepancy. It can manifest as low back pain or buttock pain radiating down the leg along the back of thigh. As these joints play an important role in mobility, the quality of life suffers and simple everyday tasks involving shifting of weight from one leg (such as getting out of car, climbing stairs etc) to another become difficult. This video discussed the anatomy, causes, investigations and treatment options.
