The volume of traffic on public roads is constantly increasing and a large number of vehicles are travelling on several lanes in two directions or are parked at the side of the road. Rapid mobile monitoring of vehicles requires precise and automatic information synchronisation between the control centres and mobile emergency services. Once the vehicles have been recognised, classified and identified by their number plates, a fully automatic and immediate comparison is made between the number plate data and the stored database.
The VITRONIC Enforcement Bar provides this mobile solution for automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). Its use increases the efficiency of checks in areas such as internal security, border controls, toll controls and car park monitoring. It is also possible to classify vehicles and determine their speed.
The VITRONIC Enforcement Bar is a fully automatic licence plate recognition system that is integrated into a police warning system of the latest generation. It detects both moving and stationary vehicles and reads their licence plates. Depending on the deployment scenario, the licence plate can be captured and read both when the vehicle is stationary and at full speed. Depending on the application scenario, detection and licence plate recognition can take place both from a stationary position and at full speed. Two lanes on the left and right, as well as the lane in front of the emergency vehicle, are covered. The enforcement bar reliably recognises German and international number plates at high speeds. The system automatically compares the read results with databases and displays stored vehicles directly. As a German development, the Enforcement Bar offers the highest level of data protection and is already being used successfully by authorities. All licence plate information that does not match entries in the database is deleted immediately.
