ITZY “Cheshire” M/V REACTION
Okay forget what I said in the video lol While it’s true that the first time the chorus dropped I didn’t know what to think (most probably because I was taken aback by how laid back the beat of the verses was) and it’s also true that the transition had to grow on me and even though I told you to ask me in two weeks how I feel about this song … well you don’t have to wait so long hahaha Let me tell you, I like this, I like this a lot! I still prefer the verses by a lot! But the transition is getting easier to hear and enjoy now. I think this is their first title track that is so jazzy, classy and laid back isn’t it? Even the chorus and no hard dance break either. The raps are almost inexistent and they’re more rapping/singing? I absolutely loved Ryujin’s parts here, so much soul !!! Yeah I’m telling you, the verses are impeccable! Really immaculate! The vibes it gave me were one of a detective sipping bourbon in a jazz club trying to decipher hints and verifying if they’re true of fake!
I still do think that this song is somehow related to “case 143” of SKZ lol Idk why, maybe I’m tripping! Anyway, I was surprised by this comeback and if they’re indeed going into more “mature/adult” territory when it comes to their concept then I’m not mad at it! They fit this concept a lot!
