MITSUI E&S Tamano Works (Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan) manufactures main engines for container ships, tankers and other large marine vessels. This video contains time-lapse footage of the engine assembly and installation process for a 9S90ME-C, a 14.6-meter-tall engine with nine pistons measuring 90 centimeters in diameter each and a total output of 54,900 kW (74,600 PS). The 9S90ME-C uses electronic control to achieve higher fuel efficiency as well as environmentally friendly performance. This video shows just how large the engine really is—it dwarfs the workers surrounding it.
Video below shows the starting procedure and its sound🔊 of same type of engine in shop test. Please also watch here.
