This is a video on the Shure SM7B and the GoXLR Mini. Two devices, that combined make for some seriously satisfying audio.
The Shure SM7B is a VERY expensive mic. But for good reason as it's a studio quality microphone that's been used the world over by musicians and professional recording artists. As you'll see though, it delivers incredible sound, especially when paired with the GoXLR Mini pre-amp.
I've been using this setup for my recent video voice overs and for Twitch Streaming and it's been magnificent.
Highlights of the Shure SM7B include:
Dynamic microphone with Cardioid polar pattern
50Hz-20kHz frequency response
150 ohms output impendace
XLR connection
It's a really tight pick up pattern which needs to be set close to your mouth to get the best results. I'd recommend the Blue Compass boom arm as a solution - https://www.bluemic.com/en-us/products/compass/
The GoXLR Mini is a pre-amp that allows you to control the mic. It's essential because this mic needs power as it's not USB and is known for needing a lot of gain in order to work properly.
What makes it interesting though is the control it gives you when streaming, as you can route audio into it and output through your OBS Streamlabs audio as a single source, giving you full control of levels and more.
