About a quarter of all gasoline burned is to overcome friction, caused mostly by the piston movement in the engine. Reducing this metal to metal friction helps engines run more efficiently. Quality gasoline, containing friction modifier additives, offer some real value.

Gasoline with friction modifiers helps improve fuel economy, and when vehicles burn less fuel, they produce less emissions. What's more, friction modifiers can actually even improve fuel economy to levels above when the car was new. By reducing friction in the engine, vehicles run more economically -- like new, and in some cases, even better than new.
