Genki 1 Lesson 3 (still) FAILS MISERABLY at explaining how one should conjugate Japanese verbs into the polite present and negative tense. THROW THOSE PAGES AWAY! Or just ignore them. That's probably the better bet.
Today, I'm going to attempt to clarify how you can EASILY conjugate Japanese verbs into their polite present (ます) and negative tenses (ません).

We will also cover more about Japanese particles, polite invitations in Japanese, adverbs of frequency, word order, and more.
