園芸店を営む黒田諭さんは、子どもの頃から模型飛行機づくりに熱中。好きが高じて、２０代には、軽飛行機の免許を取得。一時は、実物の飛行機の制作にも取り組んだ（手続きの壁を越えられず、実際に飛ことはなかった）。長年、空を楽しんできたが、加齢による体力の落ち込みもあり、飛行機で飛ぶことが難しくなった。そこで挑んだのが“ホバークラフト”。風の力で機体をわずかに浮かせて滑走するホバークラフトなら、いまの自分でも取り組める。模型飛行機に、実物の飛行機と、モノづくりの熱意も復活。７０歳にして、ホバークラフトを一から作り上げるところから、黒田さんの挑戦はスタートした。

Kuroda Satoshi, who runs a gardening shop, has been enthusiastic about making model airplanes since he was a child. He loved it and got a light aircraft license in his twenties. He'd also worked on making a real airplane (he couldn't overcome the procedure and the airplane never actually flew). he had enjoyed flying for many years, but it has become difficult due to the aging decline in physical strength. That's where he has challenged to fly "hovercraft." It's a vehicle that slides slightly floating by the force of the wind. His enthusiasm for manufacturing, as before making a model airplane and a real airplane, have been revived. He starts to create a hovercraft from scratch. At the age of 70, Mr. Kuroda's challenge began.
