This is my first time fully stripping and servicing this motor. Not as easy as I thought it would be! This is apart of my series about refurbishing and modifying my Acoustic Research XB Turntable.

Tearing Down the turntable and removing the motor - https://youtu.be/msV59ejAOSE

Polishing the Platter - https://youtu.be/co2-fe1AzJA

Some Notes:
- In 50hz countries the motor start capacitor is 0.39UF. The original was rated for 600volts. The switch capacitor was .01 UF rated at 1500volts.
- In 60hz countries please DYOR. I have no experience with these models.

- I wasn't able to pry the motor open without slightly bending the top cap a little, but it was easy enough to bend/flatten back into shape.

- Disconnected from the turntable top plate this motor will run very hot to touch. This has been the case for two of my ARXB's now. It seems normal, when it is attached to the top plate this helps dissipate that heat out.
