Green screen or chroma keying can be used to create some really entertaining effects. In this video I had some fun experimenting with various green DIYs such as squishies, slime and jelly. I also created my own textures so each tutorial is basically a double DIY that comes alive during editing. I simply used the same Canon macro lens that I use to film close-up shots in my DIYs. Keying is available in most video editing software. I used a default setting from Final Cut Pro which was surprisingly straightforward and effective. It also works in Adobe Premiere, and I'll be uploading a video soon with green screen clips that Lisa filmed for our German Cute Life Hacks channel. Chroma key works with any colour but bright green is most commonly used because this rarely appears in peoples' face, skin or hair. The software isolates all the areas with this colour and turns it transparent. Anything below this layer is now visible so you can insert a static image, animation or film clip.
