How to remember 10 Useful Japanese Homophones & Homographs

When you study Japanese, you’re probably gonna come across words that sound the same like 「くも」spider and 「くも」clouds. Same sounds but different meanings. These words are called "同音異義語 (どうおんいぎご)" literaly meaning “same” “sound” but “different” “definition” “word”

These words get quite confusing because even the pitch accent can be the same sometimes, so I’m going introduce you to some "同音異義語" and help you remember them with stories. ✨
