Beautiful Sunrise Spotting at Manchester Airport, MAN | 07/04/21

A busy spring morning at Manchester Airport. With the announcement of Pakistan being added to the "Red List" in the UK, meaning all arrivals are forced to isolate in a hotel for 2 weeks on their arrival meant that in the days up to the cut off there were extra flights operating to get people back. With that in mind and some unusual visitors expected I decided to get up and get down to MAN nice and early. Despite it actually being Spring, that morning was one of the hardest frosts I have seen all winter. It was -7 when I left the house. By the time the sun had risen at Manchester it was -4.
A stunning sunrise, lighting up the first few arrivals in a golden glow and with the plummeting overnight temperatures you'll notice the florescent de-ice fluid on some of the departing aircrafts wings & tail.

Incredible day, lots of special movements. It looks deceivingly warm on camera. It was freezing! Temperature with the wind stayed around just 2 or 3 degrees all morning and the wind was strengthening throughout the morning.
