This is my build of Doc Brown´s Remote Control from Back to The Future Part I.

It is fully functional, and I am using it to control my Eaglemoss/Fanhome/Deagostini 1:8 Back to the Future DeLorean that I converted into an RC Car. Find the link to that build video below.

Sorry if not all the shots are close enough or in focus, but my priority was building not filming.

Here you can find all the information, including wiring diagram, parts list with links and Arduino code for the build:

Part list
- Stanley readout (housing for 7-Segment display - fits 0.8segment 3bit)
- Unibox 100
- Molex 1820 Stoplight
- Battery holders
- 6 red labels
- black knob
I got all of these parts from docs Propshop.
Order the "Ebay remote upgrade kit": https://www.docspropshop.org/product-page/ebay-remote-upgrade-kit
(CAUTION! the molex stoplight is a 3D printed replica and you explicitly have to order the "high" Stanley readout box or you will get a flatter version!!)

I got most of the other parts from Conrad.at in Austria, but you can find them in many electronic shops.

(it seems very hard to get 3bit displays in Europe, so I got 3 single ones an wired them together)

(I cut them off for screen accuracy)

- 9V connectors https://www.conrad.at/de/p/tru-components-bs-er-36-200-batterieclip-1x-9-v-block-druckknopfanschluss-l-x-b-31-mm-x-14-mm-1663958.html
- Arduino Uno https://store.arduino.cc/products/arduino-uno-rev3
- DFplayer mini https://www.reichelt.at/at/de/arduino-dfplayer-mini-mp3-wav-microsd-karte-ard-dfpayer-mini-p289897.html?r=1
- microSD card
- mini speaker 4 or 8 OHM (i salvaged mine from an old PC Monitor, you can also find them in old laptops, or buy online...)

I found the white wires with orange and blue markings in regular RJ45 Patch cables.
The red and white wires are regular 0,75mm² flexible wires.
