As Montreal looks to the future & the possible return of Major League Baseball, fans also celebrate the past, and one of the game’s greatest legends who started his career in Montreal 70-years ago. We look at the influence that Jackie Robinson had on the city the year before he made baseball history. Acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns' latest documentary for PBS on Jackie Robinson airs this next Monday and Tuesday, April 11th and 12th on Mountain Lake PBS. The documentary was screened at St. James Theatre in Montreal this past weekend and a panel discussion was held on Jackie Robinson's impact on Montreal, and baseball.
