Sorry not sorry this channel has become all-Octopath channel lmao I swear there will be a break in Octopath content for the next upload to unveil the stuff I did for the FF9 Memoria Project (which drops THIS WEEK SO LOOK OUT FOR IT!!!) BUT IT WILL RESUME SHORTLY THEREAFTER LOL 😀❤️ Here's a cool thing I did with the incredibly awesome @SamanthaBallard of one of my favorite themes from the game!
Piano and harp isn't a common combination because we tend to step on each other's toes a lot so it took a fair bit of experimentation and a lot of back and forth but it was awesome to work with a consummate professional like Samantha, she was super patient and added so many cool things I would have never thought of, plus did a fantastic job mixing the track, and I learned a lot about what works best in harp writing. The main challenge for us in writing the arrangement was how to differentiate and play to the strengths of our respective instruments, since we cover the same ground. Big thanks once again to James Hoffmann for his advice and feedback on carving a unique space for each of us in the mix. We're super pleased with how this came out and hope you like it too!!! Really had fun working with Samantha in pulling this together and hope to work with her again soon!!! ❤️
(I admit I left Osvald passed out face down in the snow for a while because I'm not big on mages lmao...plus I had my hands full trying to beef up the western folks in my party first hahaha. Love they made the scholar the beefcake in this game mugging people and crap lmao one of the many chaotic nonsensical decisions that made me love this game so much ahahahaha)
