Last summer I was lucky enough to visit an alpaca farm and I was dying to include some footage into my Youtube videos ;D! This is my second time making this kit from Sunfelt, and right off the bat, this is not an easy project. However the result is so cute, it's worth putting in the time and patience. The shapes are small and irregular so be extra careful not to poke yourself.

The biggest problem I had with this kit is that it doesn't give you enough wool for the outer white layer. Half the stress came from trying to ration the wool so the alpaca could look somewhat symmetrically fluffy. I had to be very careful not to felt too tightly or the wool will get compressed and lose more volume. This is why I'm slightly disappointed with Sunfelt, as Hamanaka kits are hugely generous with the materials.

I decided not to use music in felting videos because of the ASMR effect (autonomous sensory meridian response). Crinkly and crunchy noises are very relaxing to listen to and needle felt sounds seem perfect for that.
