Original NBC Broadcast Raw Network Broadcast footage (no break always to commercials etc) with Curt Gowdy, Bob Prince and Tony Kubek the first ever night game for a World Series Game from Three Rivers Stadium .Includes NBC World Series Report pre-game show with Joe Garagiola and Sandy Koufax. Most of this footage was lost, jumps around with some missing frames due to a damaged or aged original source like a 3/4 studio tape converted way back when this original broadcast has been recently restored and digitalized despite the unstable framing issues from time to time, and there are a few gaps ( World Series Report, first three innings, jumps to top the eighth inning in progress till game end)
Recorded and Digitalized off pre-recorded VHS tapes ive had in the archives since the late 80s, now with the technology at had can restore and remaster old broadcasts with some color corrections and new Audi tracks cleaned up and restored.
Game 4 of the 1971 World Series starters are Pat Dobson for Baltimore and Luke Walker for Pittsburgh. Walker doesn't last long as the Orioles pick up 3 runs in the 1st inning, on a couple sac-fle RBIs from Frank Robinson and Merv Rettenmund Walker is then replaced by Bruce Kison. Pirates answer back with 2 runs in the bottom of the frame, on RBI doubles from Willie Stargell and Al Oliver. Game is tied at 3-3, and in the Home 7th, a PH RBI single from Milt May proved to be the game winner as the Pirates tie the series at 2-2. (Roberto Clemente goes 3 for 4 en route to be named MVP.)
Bruce Kison gets the win, going 6.1 innings a one hitter, striking out 3 and walking none while Eddie Watt gets the loss, giving up the game winning hit to Milt May in the 7th.
