In this piece I was inspired by the work of Dr. Lee Bartel who has done some extensive research in gamma wave (40Hz) frequency therapy with his Alzheimers, dementia, Parkinson's and depression patients. By using the frequency of 40Hz, he (among other neuroscientists) have found positive results in their patients such as increased memory recall, increased sensory perception, increased focus, increased processing speed, increased happiness and increased creativity. This music can of course be used by anyone, not just people suffering from neurological diseases. Enjoy!

Check out this great TED Talk by Dr. Bartel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDZgzsQh0Dw

Dr. Lee Bartel explores how sound can stimulate cells in your body and brain to reduce the impact of Fibromyalgia pain, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Depression, and even increase blood flow. It shows how a common consumer vibroacoustic device is used to treat these health conditions. Lee Bartel is Professor Emeritus of Music and Health and Music Education and at the University of Toronto and Member of the Board and Chair of the Research and Education Committee for the Artists’ Health Alliance. He served as Faculty of Music Associate Dean of Research, and was the Founding Director of the Music and Health Research Collaboratory (MaHRC) at University of Toronto.
