Very quick from a dig
Very smooth power delivery

365 hp & 376 lbft
More character vibration
w/ tune it feels VERY fast at high speeds
Tune build power kind weird
Just generally feels like it’s working harder to make the power

Incredibly smooth at casual driving
Incredibly fast at hard driving

Is quite good, just not QUITE as good as BMW
No way to put it in full manual mode….wtf

I seem to get 28-32 mpg no matter what..unless I’m totally thrashing it
Genesis
Struggled to get 20 mpg over 100 miles…in eco mode…all highway
To be fair that was at like 14 degrees

BMW
Suspension is WAYYY too stiff
Idk if this is just the static dampers or if someone put coilovers on it
But 100000% get the adaptive suspension if you get this car
Genesis
Way more compliant ride
Weird lateral shifty-ness over bumps on highway (tires?)
Slightly more cabin noise
Seating position is an inch or two higher than I’d like

BMW
Super sharp front end
Tires are going to give up before anything else (skinny bridgestones)
Weight balance is great
Chassis strength is great
Traction settings allow for more fun
Genesis
Even with these big tires on it feels more prone to understeer
Best thing is the steering - way better than BMW
Chassis is very good
Front end feels a little lazier than BMW but marginal
Gearbox is a little slower
Still brilliant fun to drive
Active bolsters are very fun - added drama

It’s a wash
I like seeing G70s on the road, they’re more rare and therefor more unique
I like the BMW in white and I like the Genesis in black

BMW’s is bigger
The floor on the Genesis feels high

Rear seats in the Genesis feel more cramped
Weirdly little foot space

15:55 - Luxury/build/materials
BMW
I don’t have the Vernasca leather
I have the Sensatec - and it doesn’t FEEL like i want a BMW to FEEL
The leather feels very synthetic - it doesnt breathe - and i think that will start to be a problem as the weather gets warmer
Also the armrests aren’t leather, the dash feels cheap
That said, it’s slapped together REALLY well
Despite the harsh ride I dont ever hear squeaks, creaks, or rattles
Genesis
The leather is 100% nicer
Cooled seats
Cupholder location makes more sense
Active bolsters
The ride is more luxury car
G70 wins this piece by a mile - although there was a noticeable center console creak

When new the Genesis was thousands cheaper
To this day you can get a comparable G70 for around 10k LESS than the M340
