The plot revolves around a clever detective named Hercule Poirot. He was so smart that people from all around the world knew who he was. Hercule had just cracked a tough case in Jerusalem about a very important treasure that was nicked from a church. He worked out that the thief was actually the copper who had asked him to solve the case! Everyone was gobsmacked at how fast Hercule figured it out. But there was no break for Hercule. Straight after that, he hopped on a posh train called the Orient Express to head to London. This train was pretty special, with only a few passengers, making the trip snug and private. On the train, Hercule bumped into a bloke named Richard. Richard was on edge because he found a spooky note saying he was in danger. Richard was no good; he was actually a gangster! Even though Richard offered Hercule a stack of cash to look after him, Hercule said no because he didn’t fancy helping a baddie. One wild and stormy night, the train got stuck due to awful weather. The next morning, everyone realized that Richard was missing, and when they checked his room, they found him dead! Oh dear! There was a huge mystery right on the train.
Now, the train’s manager, who was mates with Hercule, asked him to sort out the mystery fast so it wouldn’t damage the train company’s good name. Hercule started hunting for clues. He found some odd stuff in Richard’s room that seemed a bit off, like a handkerchief with an "H" and a burnt piece of iron that showed a message about revenge. Hercule figured out that Richard had done something really terrible in the past. He had harmed a little girl named Daisy Armstrong, which caused a lot of grief for her whole family. Hercule believed this murder was all about getting back at Richard for what he did to Daisy. As Hercule dug deeper, he discovered that many people on the train had reasons to dislike Richard. There was a big twist when Hercule thought he knew who the killer was, but then someone else got injured! This made the mystery even trickier.
