産業革命が社会を近代化させた一方、人類はほかの動物にはない少子高齢化や生活習慣病などといった問題を抱えるようになりました。本講義では、講師の研究対象であるパプアニューギニアを例に、近代化の影響の比較的少ない社会と高度に近代化した社会を対比します。その比較から人類が近代化によって得たものと失ったものを振り返ってみましょう。
