アルミのロウ付けをやってみました。思ったよりも簡単に出来たので、動画を撮ってみた。
ちなみに、大学の金属工芸の授業で銀ロウ付けをやったきりで、ほぼ40年ぶりのロウ付けで、アルミのロウ付けは初めてです。
この動画の前に、テストで端材をロウ付けしてみましたが、本番はこれが初めてです。
アルミは赤くなるなどの目に見える変化がなく、いきなり溶けます。アルミロウの融点580度に対し、アルミの融点が660度と近いのも、アルミのロウ付難度が高い所以です。あらかじめ、ロウ付する部分のアルマイトを剥がして磨き、酸化した部分をなくすのが秘訣です。
あと、アルミの表面にマジックインキで模様を描いておき、それが消えるのを目印にすると、うっかりアルミ母材を溶かしてしまうミスを防ぎやすくなります。
あらかじめ端材を溶かしてみて、雰囲気を掴んでおくと母材を溶かすミスが少なくなると思います。
ちなみに、作っているのは電動自転車（Cyrusher XF590）のバーエンドバックミラーをハンドルバー内に固定する造作です。ミラー製作の詳細は下記にあります。

I tried brazing aluminum. It was easier than I expected, so I took a video.
By the way, I've only done silver brazing in a metal craft class at a university, and it's been almost 40 years since I've done brazing, and it's my first time to braze aluminum.
Before this video, I tried brazing the scraps in the test, but this is the first time in production.
Aluminum does not have any visible changes such as redness and melts suddenly. The melting point of aluminum is close to 660 degrees, while the melting point of aluminum brazing is 580 degrees, which is the reason why it is difficult to braze aluminum. The secret is to remove the alumite from the brazed part and polish it in advance to eliminate the oxidized part.
Also, if you draw a pattern on the surface of the aluminum with Magic Marker and use it as a mark to disappear, it will be easier to prevent mistakes that accidentally melt the aluminum base material.
If you try melting the scraps and get a feel for the atmosphere, you will reduce the mistakes of melting the base material.
