This is probably a rather insane arrangement XD
Today's arrangement is another song by ZUTOMAYO(ずっと真夜中でいいのに。), called 『Haze Haseru Haterumade』(『ハゼ馳せる果てるまで』). The title can be roughly translated as "Until the Goby Dash(es) to the End", which originally contains some wordplay in Japanese.
Although it's been a while since this song was released(2019), I really liked the song with the extreme storytelling (like blowing up planets!) in the music video, so I decided to make an arrangement!
The rhythm used throughout the song was quite complex, so it was hard to convey the same feeling while still making the arrangement playable and enjoyable at the same time. There's no original melody I added this time, instead I focused on optimizing the song for the piano, like voicing, dynamics, note placement, etc. The last part is an example where I tried to mimic the 'call and response' of the vocals by playing the melody in different ranges on the piano.
Oh, and rotoscoping the character took a long time too, it was a lot more time-consuming than I thought. （；´д｀）
The most difficult part about this arrangement when performing is probably the rhythm: the syncopated notes performed by both hands. The performer should also try to express the last segment as intensely as possible; the singer is practically shouting at this part in the original song.
