Torrential rains have caused widespread flooding across the United Arab Emirates, dumping more than a year-and-a-half's worth of rain in just a few hours. Associate Professor Roslyn Prinsley, head of disaster solutions at the Australian National University's Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions, tells CNA's Asia First what she believes was the main factor behind the historic downpour.
